Life Coaching Moving Forward with Dr. Lassiter in New York City

There is nothing like a person with a plan. Life can be hard. It can be tough to figure out what you want to do or how to do it. And procrastination is a…, well you know. As your life coach, I listen to your words and your emotions. I help you gain clarity on your vision. I aid you in homing in on the voice inside you that is courageous not the one that is afraid to fail.

Do any of the questions below resonate with you?

Are you looking to achieve a goal no one in your family has achieved before? Are you finding it hard to find mentors who look like you and have your similar background? Do you feel isolated in trying to reach your goals? Are you afraid to fail? Do you have naysayers in your life? Are there people who smile in your face and talk behind your back? Do you hope to succeed in a field or organization where you will be a minority?

If these questions sound like you, I may be the right coach for you.

I will assist you in creating and pursuing goals that are specific, measurable, actionable, and realistic. We will talk about and find strategies to navigate the explicit and unspoken discrimination, oppression, and bias in the academic, corporate, and artistic spaces. We will tackle the negative self-defeating ideas you may have internalized about yourself that keeps you stuck. I use a combination of culture and trauma-informed cognitive, emotion-focused, and somatic techniques to help you (1) become clearer about your goals and how they may or may not align with your values; (2) navigate oppression while trying to achieve your dreams; and (3) build confidence to have everything your elders and ancestors sacrificed for you to have.

I will assist you in creating and pursuing goals that are specific, measurable, actionable, and realistic.
